Eight of Hudson Valley’s roughest & toughest arm wrestlers are ready to rumble! Entourages are ready to collect your cold hard cash for Ulster/Dutchess Girls Inc. Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart & bold through programs that help navigate gender, economic & social barriers. Programs address math & science education, pregnancy & drug abuse prevention, media & economic literacy, and violence prevention.

Sooner or later, EVERY LADY IN THE HUDSON VALLEY WILL BE A BRAWLER. Is it your turn this time?!
5 Borough Ladies Arm Wrestling has been in operation since June 2011, with an all female cast of organizers and members working under the influence and guidance of the national all women arm wrestling organization CLAW USA (http://www.clawusa.org/) originally founded in Charlottesville, VA, in 2008. The only NYC charter of its kind, 5BLAW walks the line between pro wrestling antics, theatrics, and pure strength competitive sport. Eight women wrestlers, each with their own character theme and wrestling moniker, compete in each competition.
This charity event will be giving all of its proceeds to the well deserved Shore Soup via the Rockaway Rescue Alliance. For the months since Hurricane Sandy, Shore Soup (founded by two tough ladies) has delivered an average of 800+ hot meals door-to-door daily and has reached a range of different populations including: home bound seniors, families without access to healthy food, individuals living in public housing and affected renters and home owners. Their network of over 400 volunteers make our soups from farm fresh produce donated by GrowNYC and other farmers’ organizations. “Environmental sustainability has always been an important priority for us, because of this, we distribute food by bicycle and tricycle cart, compost our food scraps and primarily use organic ingredients.”
